Yesterday, I had an appointment on the East Side. I had no money left on my metro card so I decided to walk home. The trees are pretty bare but the shadows they cast are wonderful. Some laggards from last autumn's fruit cling to the trees. This oak hasn't lost it's leaves. I wasn't able to quite capture how the pale papery leaves held the sunshine. Central Park is full of post-card perfect views. I love how this banister looks like it was made out of a twisted branch. I am always a sucker for good shadows. Once i crossed the park, my welcome to the west side were these red berries. I like how the model in the ad is eyeing them.
A blog, mostly about my work making Jewish ritual objects, but with detours into garment making, living in New York City, cooking, and other aspects of domestic life. A note about comments: I love comments from readers, from spammers, not so much. I approve comments before posting them so comments are not cluttered with junk. It may take a few hours before your posts appear. Be patient. If you are a real person with a real comment it will be posted.
