The bag of vintage hankies from Vivian also included this object. The photo above shows the item closed. it’s a series of 6 small pouches, 3 inches by 1.5 inches.
The outside of each pouch is blue satin and the pouches are all lined in pink flannel.
Is this item meant to hold individual rings? It’s not exactly the right size for condoms, but that did come to mind. Both the colors and the materials give the sense of feminine hygiene products.
Jewelry storage did come to mind but often the colors used for items related to jewels are more royal. If you have any ideas, let me know.
Sarah, I've see something like that but it was for holding hose - in the days before panty hose. Can't tell how big yours is though.Martha Ann
ReplyDeleteMAM... it would be a good size for Barbie's hose or even hose for an 18 inch doll like the American girl dolls...but at 1.5 inches x 3 inches it's too small for people sized hose.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I have seen these sort of bags, many years ago, used for individual hose; so a 6 compartment one would hold 3 pairs.
