Lettering, painted on silk and tacked downwith chain stitching.
Embroidery complete, andsilk gazar trimmed away. In the picture, it looks like a quick process. It took many pesky hours. It was delightful, in comparison, to cut away the yellow silk.
oh well done! What a great way to go over a variety of textures. It may have been tedious but it is stunning. Can't wait to see the full piece. Sandy in the UK
