The Route 66 attractions in Amarillo span several blocks. There are restaurants and many vintage and antique shops. I wasn't able to take photos in the best of the shops, it wasn't permitted.
I did get to see several sets of spectacular sterling silver spurs. I had no idea that they could be so beautiful. The shop also had some pretty wonderful Southwestern silver.
Another fabulous item I saw there was an Italian mid century modernist deviled egg platter. It was rectangular and presented the eggs as if they were jewels, along with matching salt and pepper shakers that fit into their fitted spaces.
I also saw one of my most comfortable pairs of cowboy boots for sale but for three times what I paid for them.
The shops are great. Because rents are relatively inexpensive a seemingly small storefront will open into a massive store filled with dozens of vendors.
