Marshmallow trees

I’m always struck by how the stuff we add to cake and cookies usually has he language of cold weather-- icing, frosting.

Last night the snow was accompanied by thunder and lightning and even hail. When I woke up this morning, the tress across Broadway looked like my son’s favorite breakfast cereal, Frosted Mini Wheats.

I know that ths isn’t the best thing for the tress, and some branches will break off in protest but it sure is pretty to see it out my window.

  1. I am amazed by the trees outside my window. They seem almost like a Dr. Seuss illustration, with delicate branches holding high piles of fluffy snow that might, just might...but doesn't blow off. Maybe I can capture one of these cream puffs in a photograph. I hope so.
